MATTHEWS & BENNETT'S REPORT. Matthews and Bennett report that there was a large entry of cattle in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday last. 1 rices for sheep were as follows: Lambs (woolly) 7s to 9s 4d, shorn.4s 4d to 4s lid, f.m. ewes 10s to lis 6d, old ewes 4s to os, Lincoln rams £2 12a U to £8 2e, ordinary rams 10s to 15s. Cattle: btore cows £2 5s to £3 18s, : forward cows £4 Is to £4 12s 6d, springing heifers £4 10s to £5, weaners 18s to 26s 6d. SOUTHERN MARKETS.

ADDINGTON. At Addington live stock market the entries of stock were about equal to last week, store sheep and fat lamb entries being again large. Fat lambs were very firm and fat sheep were easier. Fat cattle shovyed little change, and fat pigs sold well, as did store and dairy cattle. Store sheep—Extra good 2-tooth ewes 18s to 18s 6d, 2 ana 4-tooth 14s 6d to 16s, 4, -6 and 8-tooth 13s to 10s 9d, 4 and 6-tooth 15s to las lOd, 6 and 8-tooth 14« to 15s lid, sound-mouth lis 9d to 13s 9d, 2-tooth wethers lis 6d to 14s, best rape lambs 12s to 12s 9d, extra to 13s 6d, ewe j lambs lis 6d to 13s lid, good mixed lines lis 6d to 13s, half-bred wether lambs 8s 9d to 9s 7d, culls 5s lid to 7s 2d. Fat lambs—Tegs made 17s to 18s 6d, ordinary weights 14s Od to 16s lOd, lightI er 12s 4d'to 14s.

Fat sheep—Prime wethers 17s to I9i 2d, others 14s Id to 16s 6d, merino wethers 12s 2d to 14s 2d, prime ewes 13s to 17s 9d, extra to 18s 2d, others 7s 7d to 12s 6d.

Fat cattle—Steers £7 7s 6d to £ll, extra to £l3 2s 6d, heifers £6 5s to £7 15s, extra to £9 'los, cows £5 to £7; extra to £9 7s «d.

Veal calves made 4s '6d to 595, according to size and quality. A fair yarding of store cattle met with a keen demand, yearlings making 35s to 40s, 15 to 18-months £3 to £4 2s <Jd, 2-year steers £5 17s Od, 2-year heifers £4 Bs. to £4 155,'3-year steers passed at £6 9s «d, 3-year heifers £4 18s 8d to £5 2s U, dry cows 34s to £3 10s. Dairy cows made £4 10s to £ll 10s.

Pigs—There was a medium entTy of pigs, which met with good competition, and stores also sold well. Choppers made 60s to 80s, extra to £5 15s, large baconers 76s *to 80s, extra to 94a 6d, lighter sorts 65s to '6Bs (equal to 6y 4 d to 6y 2 d per lb), large porkers 48s to 525, lighter 38s to 45s (equal to 6y 2 d per lb), large stores 40s to 475, medium 28s to 345, smaller 16s to 20s, weaners 14a to 208. BUKNSIDE. At Burnside to-day 200 fat cattle were yarded, including some good quality bullocks. The yarding was beyond local requirements, and prices declined by 15s to £1 per head on last week's rates. Best bullocks £lO to £ll ss, extra £l3 2s 6d, medium £8 10s to £9, best cows and heifers £8 to £'9, medium £5 10s to £6 10s.

Pat sheep—There was a large yarding, 2494 being penned. The sale was very dull, and prices dropped la to Is 6d per. head on last week's prices. Best wethers 17s '6d to 18s, medium 15s to 16s, one pen extra good 20s, medium 12s 6d to 13s 3d.

Fat lambs—There was a medium yarding, 1281 being penned. Freezing buyers were operating, and prices rose from 9d to Is per head. Good 14s to 15s, extra to lGs 3d, inferior lis to 12s Gd.
