The Rarawa, which was unabla to cross the Manukau bar till 11 p.m. oh Thursday, arrived here *bout 11 a.m. yesterday, her cargo amounting to 120 I .tons. She sailed as usual for Onehunga lastn ight. i The Rosamond sailed from Nelson early yesterday morning for New PlyI mouth and is due here this morning. i She has 340 tons of cargo to land here.
THE REGULUS. ■ The Regulus was expected to tail from Westport last night for New Plymouth with 500 tons of coal. She should arrive here to-day. PRODUCE FRO MWAITARA. The Rakaia took away from Waitara on Thursday the following cargo:—4-34 quarters beef, 5907 carcases mutton, 1766 carcases lamb, 387 boxes frozen sundriea and 908 bales wool. It is reported that two large twinscrew cargo steamers for the-New Zealand trade have been ordered by the Tyser Line, and will be built by Messrs. Workman, Clark and Co., at Belfait. They will each be about 8000 tons register and will be fast vessels. It is understood that one, which is now on the stocks, will be named Makirini, the Maori equivalent for McLean, as a compliment to Mr. Douglas McLean, of Hawke'i Bay.
