RAM FAIR.

SOME BIG PRICES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Masterton, Last Night. The annual ram fair under the auspices of the Masterton A. & P. Association, was opened to-day, when Romney, Shropshires and English Leicesters were offered. The quality of the yarding all round was above the average, and fewer inferior sheep were put through than for a number of years past. In the Romneys the highest price obtained was 200 guineas for one of Ernest Short's stud ram. The same owner obtained 108 guineas for another ram. Flock Romneys ranged up to 6% guineas. Tn Shropshires H. D. Vavasour, of Marlborough, headed the' list with 13 gns. for a splendid specimen of flock ram. Leicesters were in poor demand. Southdowns and Lincolns will be offered tomorrow.
