BOWLING.

TARANAKI PROVINCIAL BOWLING ASSOCIATION. At the annual meeting of the above association, held at Patea,. the president, Mr. A. Christensen, occupied the chair. All clubs affiliated w«re represented with the exception of Waitara and Eltham (says the Press). It was decided that the incoming president of the New Plymouth olub be president of the association, and the presidents of the Fitzroy and West End club* vice-presidents. The appointment of a secretary and treasurer to the association was left in the hands of the New Plymouth clubs. It was also decided that the next annual tournament be held at New Plymouth. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr. Patterson (Manaia), seconded by Mr. Leslie (Inglewood), that all clubs affiliated be written to and their opinion asked on the question of an "open door" im connection with the next tournament. It was proposed by Mr. Dudley (Opunake), and seconded by Mr. Leslie (Inglewood), that in future the association procure trophies instead of presenting cheques to the winning club. The question of date of next annual tournament was left to the executive, with the recommendation that it be held early in 1913. A very hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr. W. E. Perceval for his generous. donation to the association last T»»r.
