PETROLEUM NEWS.

The manager reports that No. 5 bore at Moturoa eased off at 0 o'clock last night (Sunday), owing to silting, but that at 10.30 oil was flowing as freely as at any time since oil was struck. Mr. Keith intends to bore a few feet deeper in order to increase the gas pressure sufficiently to bring the oil away without fear of silting.
