Rev. Frank Hales, from Invercargill, arrived by mail train last night. He. assumes his pastorage of the Baptist Church to-m'orrow. Mr. C. The New Plymouth Harbor Board yesterday decided to place on record its appreciation of the satisfactory manner in which Captain Newton had performed hir duties as harbormaster during the time he has been in the board's employ. The board exceedingly regretted, the motion ran, the loss of his Captain Newton relinquishes Ms position at the end of the month.
