A fierce battle took place between foreign farmers at Saskatchewan, who rushed the grain cars in an endeavor to secure trucks for shipping wheat. One is likely to die of his injuries. The custom is that the first applicants get preference of the use of cars.

Professor Porker, of Columbia University, attempted to scale Mount McKinley, but encountered heavy ice three miles from his destination, and was forced to return. He makes another attempt overland.
LATE DUKE OF FIFE.
Received 16, 1 a.m. Alexandria, February 15. The body of the late Duke of Fife is aboard H.M.S. Powerful, homeward bound.
