SECOND DAY'S ACCEPTANCES. The Taranaki Jockey Club's autumn meeting will be concluded to-day, the principal events being the Paul Memorial (one mile and a distance), Grandstand (six furlongs), and Farewell Handicaps (six furlongs). Judging by the aceeptances to-day's racing should be very interesting. Last year the Paul Memorial Handicap provided a magnificent finish, no less than half-a-dozen horses finishing almost in line. The judge's placing was Lady Menschikoff, John and Uranium—i half-heads apart. On that occasion Lady I Menschikoff carried 6st lllbs. Proceedings will open to-day with the Second Hack Hurdle Race, which will start at noon. Following are the acceptances for to-day:—■ Second Hurdles, Iy s miles.—Silva, 11.9, Allure 10.5, Rawjnia 10.0, Cornelian 9.12, Darby Paul 9.8, Highden 9.5, Silver Cluse 9.0.
