There wag a large attendance from Southern ' Hawke's Bay anil the adjoining districts. Special features were the, large entries * of dairy cattle, fat• cattle, sheep andlambs. The judges Were especially euloii " gistic of ,the quality in Jerseys; Ayr- - shires and Holsteins. Major-General Godley visited the show. Championships,— Romney, ram J. H. Morrison, ewe W. H. (Buick; Border . Leicester ewe, J. A. Welch; Southdown ram and ewe, H. 3.' • Stuckey; Lincoln ram and ewe, D. MsDonald; Holsteiii . bull and cow, ! Jai.Hart; Jersey bull and cow, W. H. an 4 A. E. Booth; Polled Angus cow, F. Arm- . strong; Hereford 1 cow, H. B.Stttekeyf '' Ayrshire, bull ' J.' Bowden} cow ; Ti Hf >' Chapman. The Open Hunters' Compe- ■■■#■ tition was won by G. Buchanan's Sky' •• Larlc, McLaren's Comrade being seoond, -•*' and Hart's Playboy third.
