BERLIN PAPER'S OUTBURST
ATTACKS AMERICAN MINISTER. Berlin, February 6. A violent attack is made upon the American Secretary of State, Mr. P. C. Knox, by the Kreuz Zeitung to-day. Declaring that he is one of Germany's bitterest enemies in the United States, the Zeitung says that Mr. Knox is responsible for the strong anti-German trend that is now and then manifested in American policy. "Their manner of taking up arbitration treaties," adds the paper, "indicates that President Taft and Mr. Knox are interested, first and foremost, in concluding treaties with Great Britain and France to held them as a club over Germany. /
"The comment of the United States newspapers on the visit of the Duke of Connaught also shows that American statesmen are more inclined to an alliance with Great Britain than to friendship with Germany."
