DRUIDS' CONFERENCE. By Telegraph —Press Association. Marton, Last Night. At the Druids' Conference an alteration in Rule 88, in connection with the scale of members' subscriptions, was carried in' accordance with the executi vc's proposals. The principle consolidating the sick funds of various branches was affirmed, but will not come into operation till June 1, 19i13|. Two important subjects were held over for the next biennial meeting at Marton in February next.

Association for having, they alleged, wrongfully ejected wne Atkinson from the show grounds at the association's metropolitan show last November. "ROMANISM; AND {RITUALISM." 1 Christchurch, Last Night. At the Christchureh Presbytery, the Rfev. Wood stated that the General Assembly had appointed a special committee on "Romanism and ritualism," and had made the Christchureh Presbytery the committee. He had a number of letters to read, but it would take considerable time, and he suggested that the Presbytery should set up a sub-commit-tee to consider the Assembly's deliverance and correspondence on the subject, the sub-committee to consist of he Revs. Miller, Reid, Craig, Howes, and Wood, and an elder from each charge. The Rev. J. Pringle seconded the motion, and it was qarried unanimously.

ITMAIttT DOINGS. Timaru, Last Night. A branch of the Sports Protection League was formed at Geraldine on Monday.

The agricultural instructor having accepted an Australian appointment, the Education Board to-day discussed the question of making another appointmen, and finally decided to ask the inspector to confer with the teachers who have shown an interest in agricultural work with a view of obtaining information as to the best' methods of giving agricultural instruction.

IT.M.S. Pioneer arrived this morning. She stays here for about a fortnight.
