A mob of coal miners at Mons attempted to liberate two strikers who were being arrested for looting. The gendarmes fired their rifles in the air, and the mob dispersed after several soldiers had been injured by stones. In another part of tfie town five hundred men pillaged a cart. A detachment of Chasseurs charged the mob with the bayonet. The enraged crowd attacked them, forcing the soldiers to fly. The troops subsequently rallied, and several rioters were wounded.

RIOTS IS PARIS. Paris, February 11. A revolutionary demonstration in connection with the funeral of Aergoult, a trade unionist at Pere la Chaise Cemetery, resulted in the stoning of the Republican Ouard, who charged the mob. Beveral police and others were wounded, and twenty arrests were made.
