WELLINGTON PROVINCIAL MEETING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The provincial athletic championship meeting took place yesterday on the Basin Reserve. About a thousand spectators were present. A strong, cold southerly wind interfered considerably with the racing, and the majority of the times recorded was' poor. Only twiGe were the standards beaten, and in one case it could not be allowed, as the wind was dead behind the winners. Results:
