ANOTHER VICTORY FOR LONGWDRTH. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 11, 5.15 p.m. Perth, February 11. The half mile swimming championship of Australia resulted as follows:—Longworth 1, Springfield 2, Woodman 3. Won by 60 yards. Time, lOmin 23seo. At a meeting of the New Plymoutk Swimming Club committee on Friday arrangements were made for the evening swimming sports, which are to take place at the municipal baths next Friday evening. The secretary (Mr. G. Hawkins) submitted a programme of events, which includes mixed dives, a couple of young ladies' races, a boys' race, long diving, 50yds and 75yds inter-club races. Boys will also compete for the Williams' Memorial medal over a distance of about 50 yards. There will be no long distance events, but teams captained by the captain and vice-captain respectively will try conclusions in a relay match. Swim-mers-will also be interested to learn that a swimming carnival is to be held under the auspices of the Eltham Swimming Club on the evening of Tuesday, Feb-, ruary 27.
