DICKENS CENTENARY.

The Dickens centenary is being celebrated throughout the country by dinners, meetings, readings and pageants at the theatres. Floral tributes were placed on the grave of Dickens by several members of the family and by Dickens clubs in the United' States and elsewhere. A laurel memorial was placed iA Rochester CathedTal from Gadshill, Dickens' home. "LORD, KEEP MY MEMORY GREEN." Received 9, 1.15 a.m. London, February 8. The pilgrims to Dickens' grave at Westminster Abbey included descendants to the third generation. Many wreaths from the various Dickens fellowship societies throughout the United Kingdom were sent. The United States sent a great wreath of bay leaves, inscribed, "Lord, Keep my memory green." A thousand poor children were fed at Lambeth to-day, and received a souvenir each, recounting Dickens' experiences as a poor boy in South London. Commemorative services were held at Rochester Cathedral.
