EAST EDINBURGH BY-ELECTION. . \ Received 4, 5.5 p.m. London, February 3. The by-election for the East Edinburgh seat, rendered necessary by the death of Mr. Gibson, resulted in Mr. Hogge, a Liberal gaining 5064 votes, against Mr. Jameson (Unionist) 4139.
