RECENT BAND CONTEST
. A PROTEST DISMISSED. , B/ TalefMfh—Prew Association. L Christchurch, Last Night. The executive of the South Island Bands Association to-night considered the protest of the Woolston band against! jthe "revised" decision in the quickstep 'competition. Evidence, was given by C. | J. Gallop, representing the Woolston \ Band, and W. W. Webley, who added up 1 the detailed figures and who stated that the additions were wrong aa announced on the show grounds. Tnis was due to the fact that considerable noise was going on in the room when the points wera being added up. It was decided to dis- - miss the protest and return the deposit made by the Woolston Band. The executive, placed on record its high appreciation of the work done by Mr. T. Morgan las adjudicator, and of his criticisms. i Mr. Morgan is to be asked to select the test piece for the Dunedin contest.
