TIMARU WOOL SALE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. The third wool sale was held to-day. Nearly 8000 bales were offered and most of them sold. There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition was keen within certain limits for each variety. New Zealand woollen mills bought largely of the fiiier grades. Generally the wool was heavier in condition than at previous sales, and this affected prices. Making allowance for difference in the condition of December prices were well maintained. Best halfbreds fetched up to 12y 2 d, good to 10% d,. medium 9y 2 d; threequarter-bred and cross-bred, best to medium to I)%d, merino to lid;, best pieces to 9d, medium to 7%d. LONDON MARKETS.
