MINING.

TELLURIDES COMPANY Following is a copy of the mine manager's report for the week ending January 27, 1912: Gordon.—-The main low level crosscut has been extended 17 feet during the. week, and the character of the country is about the same as when last reported. The level going south on the course of the George lode has been extended 7 feet during the week. The lode is at present divided by a band of calcite country, and the nature of both the hanging-wall and footwall portions has undergone no change since last report. The total length of this drive from the main crosscut is 82 feet.

Volunteer.—The main low level crossCut in, this section has been advanced 5 feet during the week, and the level continues to pass through a very tight class of country, thus making progress slow.
