Hamilton, Monday. _ At the meeting of the executive council of the New Zealand Athletic and Cycling Union, held, at Hamilton on Saturday night, Campion's appeal against disqualification by the Marlborough centre for alleged wrong performances, was upheld. By this decision he receives a £IOO prize in the'race at the Blenheim meeting. The Marlborough centre was instructed to inquire into the performances of other competitors claiming the title to the second prize. On the recommendation of the Hawke's Bay. centre, James Butler's name'was, removed from the disqualification lists. The system of awarding record certificates is to be abandoned. It was decided that as there was no direct evidence that Trembath and McLachlan took as active part in conniving at the ringing in of Greig, the matter be allowed to drop. The rules are to be revised, particularly regarding cycling and the control of motor cycling for the next conference. Michelaon was reinstated as an amateur cyclist on the recommendation of North Otago. Charges of being unable to obtain information were .brought against the secretary, Mr. Fraser, by the North Canterbury centre.
