The Rarawa arrived from Onehunga yesterday morning with 100 tons of cargo, including 25 tons cement, 7 tons lime, 2 tons flour, 10 tons sugar, and 460 cases fruit. UNION COMPANY'S FLEET. { The Flora (1273 tons), which recently had her passenger accommadation removed and converted into purely a cargo carrier, is to leave Wellington to-day for Picton and New Plymouth, being due here to-morrow. The Rosamond will not call here on her northern trip from Wellington, but will proceed direct to Onehunga from Picton with a cargo of chaff. She calls here on her southward journey, however, being due here on Satrday, when she will load cargo for Wellington. The Corinna is due here on Friday from southern ports. j AN OCEAN MONSTER. I The new White Star liner, the Gigantic, which is now being built at Belfast, will be 1000 ft in length, with a beam of ] between 110 ft and 112 ft, with a displace- j ment of 70,000 tons and a gross tonnage i of over 30,000. The passenger accommo- j dation will he increased in the first class j to over 1000, and the total of over 4000. \ The Gigantic will not be a greyhound,'] like .the Mauretania, but will be practically a seven-day hotel de luxe.
