DUKE OF CONNAUGHT.
IN THE UNITED STATES. By Cable —Press Asseciatien—Copyright. New York, January 27. The Duke of Connaught spent forty minutes at the White House informally chatting with Mr. Taft. He afterwards received a return visit from Mr. Taft, who was accompanied by a single aide. Mr. Bryce, British Ambassador, was also present. * The Cabinet officers were presented to the Duke, who later visited the Press Club, where he was greeted uproariously. In a short address the Duke of Connauglit said he hoped England and the United States would always be the best of friends for the good of the world.
