PETROLEUM NEWS.
The Gisborne Herald reports that boring operations at both the Totangi and Waihirere wells have successfully penetrated the strata, the sinking of the pipes through which has caused much difficulty. A change of strata has been obtained at both wells, whilst at Waihirere there is a good showing of gas.
