ference adopted a tentative agreement, with a currency to July next, providing that all contracting parties to the agreement must .become affiliated to the union before that date. A mail vote will be taken on the question of the alteration of the constitution. The New Zealand proposal for affiliation and becoming a party to the agreement, with a provision that the Dominion be permitted to send representatives to the carnival only once in two years, did not meet with approval. JSTew Zealand will be informed that swimming representatives to the carnival will be welcomed during the currency of the present agreement, and ijue notice will be given of the date that the new agreement will be drawn, so that New Zealand may send a delegate to the conference.
