EXCITING ESCAPES IN OPORTO. " PRIESTS AS GAOL-BREAKERS. Lisbon, January 21. There were some sensational escapes from one of the gaols in Oporto yesterday. By bribing the warders a number of wealthy political prisoners secured a supply of files and ropes, by means of whieh they contrived to get out of their cells. They made their way to the roof of the building, when their presence there was detected by the guards. Seven of the number, including two priests, managed to get clear away, but the troops, by whom the gaol was quickly surounded, wounded: most of the others before they could make good their escape.
