! MIDHIRT. I (Prom Our Own Correspondent.) I Last week witnessed the burial of Mrs. J. Kilpin, the wife of a well-known resident of this district. Mrs. Kilpin had been in .ill-health for some ' time .past. She leaves a husband and iVe little children to mourn their loss. The school excurrsion to the Breakwater takes place on February 9. Young and old are eagerly looking forward to the day, An energetic committee have the arrangements in hand, and, given fine weather, a most enjoyable day should be spent. Mr. Alex. Brown is at present on a visit to the Australian States. On Monday night last, the Loyal Midhirst Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U., held their fortnightly meeting. The district officers, including P.G.M. Bro. Burgess, Deputy P.G.M. Bro. Snowdon, and G.S Bro Bellringcr, who is also the Grand Master for New Zealand, paid their annual visit tS ™ Lod e e - during the evening Bro w. 0. Jones was installed as N.G for the ensuing term by the G.M, for New Zealand, Bro. Bellringer. I
