THE BINGARA TRAGEDY.
ARREST OF BALL. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. January 24. Ball, who has been arrested on a charge of murdering his wife, was found aboard the steamer Star of Scotland. He had secured a billet as trimmer ,on the steamer, which departs for London to-day. Ball worked his passage to Australia a short time ago, and utilised the discharge then obtained in securing the position. BALL CHARGED WITH MURDER. Received 24, 8.55 p.m. Sydney, January 24. Ball was charged with the murder of his wife, and remanded till February 1.
Ball and his wife were in charge of a selection for the absent owner, who returned to find the house deserted. The remains of a fire in the bush contained bones and scraps ,of women's clothing, leading to the suspicion that Ball had murdered his wife.
