Mrs. Hazard, known as the "Starvation Doctor," is being tried at.Seattle for causing the death of a wealthy English girl, Claire Williamson. The victim's sister testified to the se- j verity of the treatment at the sanator- | ium, ,and was herself reduced almost to a skeleton. ' The sister died under the treatment, and a doctor was called in. Having suspicion of foul play, he caused Hazard's arrest John Herbert, an uncle, declared h* believed the bones he saw in a coffin] were not those of his niece, !>ut made nd complaint because he knew the girl wafe actually dead.
