ACCOUNT OF MR. YEAGER'S TRIAL During the month of July the "Gane" Milking Machine Co., Ltd., received a letter from Mr. Yeager, of Kyogle, New South Wales, asking them if they were willing to put in a two-cow milking machine on trial for si weeks again«t a two-cow milking plant each of the following machines, namely, the L.K.G., the Austral and the Jersey. It is believed the Austral did not take up the challenge, though other machines competed. The trial commenced on August 8, and by the 21st the Gane Company received word that the advantages of their machine were so apparent that Mr. Yeager had decided to order three 12-cow plants from them. One of these is already in working order, and the other two a-re to be erected as soon as possible, in order that Mr. Yeager may deal with a herd of about one thousand cows. Mr. Yeager decided in favor of the "Gane," although from what can be heard, the price of the "Gane" woe some £2OO in excess of the otbers.-^-Advt.
