The country being penetrated is still of a very favorable description. The' level on the south course of the George reef has been extended 6 feet, the lode being 5 feet thick. The footwall portion, which is 2 feet fi inches wides, looks very promising, and contains considerably more >■ ' free "old than has ever been the case previously in this section. The hanging 5 wall portion, which is of the same thickness. is not so promising in appearance. A olunteer.—The drive going west from the main cross-cut has been continued through a very tight class of country. ' There is 110 sign of any ore body, but » a little water is making in the face.
