AN EARTH TREMOR. By Cable —Prees Association —G*pyright. Received 18, 9.35 p.m. Sydney, January 18. An earth tremor was experienced at Pambula, Cooma, on the south coast. Houses shook and furniture rattled. SERIOUS BUSH FIRES. Received 19, 12.45 a.m. Sydney, January 18. The most serious bush fires in the history of the north coast are occurring. The cane crops have suffered heavily.
