SOLD TO NAVAL SHIPBUILDING FIRM. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Wednesday. Mr. J. D. Henry, the oil expert, say» that Fanning Island has been sold by Father Rugier to a well known British naval shipbuilding firm. With the approval of the Government the lagoon was to be converted into a deep-water anchorage and used as a naval coaling station. Father Rugier is now .bound for England to complete the negotiations.
