WAITARA REGATTA.

The annual general meeting of the regatta committee was held in the Clifton Hall on Monday evening, Mr. T. Buchanan presiding. The annual statement of accounts was read 'by the secretary (Mr. H. Spurdle), showing receipts to be £lll 8s fid, and expenditure £9B 0s Bd. The assets amounted to £27 10s 3d, and liabilities £l2 lis 6d, leaving a balance of £l4 18s Bd.

The following officers' were elected:— Patrons, Messrs. O. Samuel, G. V. Tate, J. W. Foreman, W. F. Newbery, Burgess, Fraser, Birdling, Borthwich and Hatrick; president, Mr. W. F. Jenkins; vice-presidents, Messrs. G. Pearce, C. Gaustad, H. E. Gilbert, H. Cossar, W. Gribbon, H. E. Vaughan, A. Kerr, J. George, J. Rennie, E. H. Jones, and J. B. Roy; committee, Messrs. T. Buchanan, W. Jury, H. Hicks, E. Knight, J. Vickery, D. George, R. Tate, A. Klenner, F. Richards, E. Stuart, L. Tate, and C. Gaustad; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. Spurdle; judges, Messrs. R, Pigott and iR. Hicks; umpires, Messrs. Ogle, Tate and Sarten; starters, Messrs. R. Tate and J. Telfar; timekeeper, Mr. H. George; auditors, Messrs. Buchanan and Beckbessinger. The committee met after the annual meeting, and Mr. Buchanan was appointed chairman.

It was decided to hold the annual regatta on Easter Monday, April 8.
