CREMATION.
THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH'S OBJECTION.

Archbishop Kelly, addressing a hospital meeting, said the church was against cremation, which was opposed to national sentiment. It was allied to materialism, and thus was irreligious. The church had no misgivings on the subject. It was not only not essential, but wrong and uncalled for.
