HURFORD ROAD. (From Our Own Correspondent.) ■ Harvesting is in full swing all round the neighborhood. Owing to the wet Reason we have just experienced all are trying to save their hay before the fine weather changes, thus clashing with one another and making it very hard to get sufficient assistance.

Mr. P. Jackson has sold hig farm to the Petroleum Company, the price being £23 per acre. The company intends putting a bore down shortly. This transaction has renewed the hope of several farmers, and I think they would want something a bit more substantial now before they would leave this convenient little district.
