MINERS FAVOR NATIONAL STRIKE. London, January 11. All the ballots of the Miners' Federation gave overwhelming majorities' in favor of a national strike. SUPPORT FOR COTTON OPERATIVES. London, January 11. The general federation of trade unions has doubled the levies of the affiliated unions in order to support the cotton operatives. The accumulated funds amount to £60,730 as compared with £162.000 in 1909. The, payment of half-a-crown to weavers is absorbing £17,500 weekly. COTTON MANUFACTURERS' MANIFESTO. The Cotton Manufacturers' Association deny they do not desire a settlement, but only ask, as non-combatants in the quarrel between unionists and non-unionists, that their financial interests should remain unaffected. AUSTRALIAN WHARF LABORERS. Sydney, January 12. The wharf laborers occupied in unloading two of the Adelaide Company's boats struck because a constant hand was sent below to work cargo. MORE BOATS IDLE. Received 13, 12.55 a.m. Sydney, January 12. Two more of the Adelaide Company's steamers are idle, as a protest against the working of constant hands.
