Information has been received that the New Pennant Hill wirelew station has been heard at Java, a distance of 4900 miles. THE ENCOUNTER'S WIRELESS. Sydney, January 10. The wireless operator repeats the assertion that he heard the Encounter talking with Macquarie Island on Jannary 1. He heard the vessel ask several questions, but was unable to 'listinguish the seplies.
