The Derbyshire Globe characterises the Observer's statement regarding Mr. Lloyd George's intentions in the event of the Insurance Bill reaching' a deadlock, as absurd and incomprehensible. The newßpaper Observer stated that if there were a deadlock in regard to the insurance scheme, Mr. Lloyd George, Chancellor of the Exchequer, would be prepared t* drop the contributory element, impose a sixpence income tax, and organise a special staff of State' doctors.
