BUSINESS NOTICES.
To-day White's summer sale commences. It is an event of great importance to many a man and woman in the district, bent on household economies. The firm is noted for always keeping strictly in accord with their advertising, and the consequence is that persons visiting the store get the bargains they expect. An early visit is desirable, as there are many other lines on sale not mentioned in the sale circular.
An event of more than ordinary interest to the ladies of the district takes 'place to-morrow. This is the opening of White and Son's' great half-yearly clearing sale. The importance of it can hardly <be estimated, except by those who from time to time have taken advantage of the bargains White's always put forward. With this issue we circulate a sale list of a few items in each department, which are topical of the reductions right throughout the store.
