HOTEL DESTROYED.
GIRL EMPLOYEES TRAPPED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 7, 5.5 p.m. New York, January 6. At Chicago the Transit Hotel was burned. The guests escaped to the roof, and with a number of girl employees who were trapped on the top floor were rescued by firemen, whose efforts were hampered by frozen hydrants.
