SOUTH AFRICAN ONION.
A LABOR CONFERENCE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Capetown, January 5. A labor conference at Bloemfontein lasting three days recommended a white labor policy, the establishment of a defence force, precluding its use in industrial disputes. It also favored bounties in lieu of a protective tariff, thje separation of whites and natives, each with advisory councils, and disapproved the extension of the franchise to natives.
