Results:— Summer Hurdles.—Master Paul 1, Jack Ashore" 2. Also started: Bay Lupin and Optimeform. Optimeform ran into a fence ami injured himself and his rider and' the rider of Ray Lupin also became unseated. Won by several lengths. Maiden Plate.—Foil 1, Fongasse 2, Cressett 3. Scratched: Rtisso, Cariod, Dileas, Playboy, Wallflower, Agitator, and Throse. Won in the last few strides by a neck. President's Handicap.—Stepmeter 1, The Cornet 2, True Knight 3. Scratched: Penates and Murmura. Won by two and a half lengths. Juvenile Handicap.—May Dalrymple 1, Peg 2, Shona May 3. Also ran:' Baritone. Bracelet.—Don Ruby 1, Kingsbury 2, Vanada 3. Also started: Bay Lupin, White Flag and Black and Brown. Flying Handicap.—My Lawyer 1, Clanmena 2, Contcndent 3. Also started: Penates and Crosbie. . Aldcrseyde Handicap.—Safety Pin 1, Windward 2, Jlesione 3. Also started: John Bunyan, Xyloidine, Pleasure Bent, Gyrta and Thrax. Clifton Welter.—Merry Lass 1, San Severo 2, Adage 3. Also started: Troon, Miss Advance and Nightlight. The totalisator receipts were £0760 against £3195 last year. INVERCARGFLL RACES. Invercargill, Thursday. Results:— Summer Handicap.—Daringnlale 1, Peerless 2, Abo 3. Won easily by two lengths. Roslyn Trot—Midge 1, S.M. 2, Richmond Grove 3. Scratched: Imperial, Chatterbox, Renee and Clair. Won by a length and a half. Southland Handicap.—Soldiers' Chorus 1, Directoire 2, Waiju 3. Scratched: Obolus and Kohinoor. A good race. Won by two lengths and a half, the same distance between second and third. Gladstone Handicap.—Queen's Prize 1, Alfrcdtt 2, Obolus *3. Shorts Handicap.—Gapon 1, Lupulite 2, Grafton Laddie 3. Electric Trot.—Chatterbox 1, Myrtle Palm 2, Sweet Child 3. Clifton Welter.—Kohinoor 1, Pure Gold 2, King Torrent 3. 'Final Handicap.—Palisade 1, Parable 2, Feodor 3. The totalisator receipts were £10,047 against £0172 last year, making a total of £21,104 for the two days, as against £12,411 last year.
