The Now Zealand Shipping Company has acquired a controlling interest in the Federal Company in exchange for a portion of the unissued shares, which are credited as fully paid. The owners of the Federal Company have promised to hold the .shares en bloc for a period of years. Mr. Allen Hughes joins the New Zealand Board. The New Zealand Shipping Company's -hares have risen from .€l7 10s to £lB 10s. The Times states that the amalgamation is the result of the P. & 0. ships calling at Auckland. INCORRECT INFORMATION.
