Tom Mann, in a speech in London, said the time had come to demand a reduction in hours in the mercantile marine, which was only obtainable at ports. The transport workers were already organising for the purpose. The arbitrator has ordered the railway workshop laborers at Hawich to receive a minimum wage of £l, and those earning more an additional shilling. DIFFERENCES OVER STRIKE PAY. Received 3, 9.30 p.m. London, January 3. Difficulties are threatening in consequence of the absence of strike pay from lately enrolled members of the Weavers' Union. Some are receiving none, and others the full amount.
