FIRES.
A BOARDING-HOUSE BURNED. By Telegraph—Press Associating, Wellington, Tuesday. A sixteen roomed house in Tinakori road, owned by F. Sherriff and occupied by Mrs. Margaret Diamond as a board-ing-house, was destroyed by lire at 1.30 this morning. The hoarders were all away, and Mr and Mrs. Diamond were alone in the house. Very little was saved. The insurances are: House, £7OO in the, Norwich dffice; furniture, £450 in the Liverpool Office. A COTTAGE BURNED, PabMira, Tuesday. A -four-roomed house at Scarborough, occupied by G. Baker and owned by H Dillon, was destroyed by fire. The outbreak originated through clothes left in front of the 'fire igniting. The insurances were £IOO on the house and £IOO on the furniture. OUTBREAK AT BLENHEIM. Blenheim, Last Night. The insurance on Sainsbury's shop is £IBO on the building" in the Phoenix Company, and on the stock and tools £IOO. The fire started in Perry's shop, the insurances heing £135 in the Phoenix, and on the stock £250 in the New Zealand Office.
