Beef;— Market quiet tout steady. New Zealand stock almost exhausted. New Zealand hinds 3%d, New Zealand fores 2%dButter.—Market quiet but firm at tho close. The lonic's shipment was pretty/ welll cleared and buyers are awaiting tho arrival of the Turafeina on Monday. New Zealand 131s per cwt, Danish 131s, Australian 1275, Argentine 125 a, Siberian (stock small), 1245. Cheese.—Market firm with more inquiry. New Zealand 70s to 71s per cwt,, Canadian 735. < Hemp.—Market 'active with good deman, but quieter at the close. New Zealand good to fair £2l ss, fair grade £2O 16s. Manila, fair current grade fj2l, January to March shipment, good to fair, £2l 6s, fair £2O 10s, fair current Manila £2l 10s. The output from. Manila for the week was 28,000 bales. Cocksfoot Seed.—Market firm ,with an improved demand. It is reported that it appears probable that larger quantities 1 of Continental seed will be available next season. Danish is quoted at an average of 76s 6d. Wool.—The market is quiet but firm. The current quotations for Bradford topa are: 36's (low crossbreds), Is Id per lb.j 40's (low crossbreds), la l%d; 44's medium crossbreds), Is l%d; 60's (halfbreds), Is 5%d; 66's (quarterbreds), Is 7%d; 60's (merinoe), 2s Id.
