Sydney, December 30. The year has been a record one for real estate business in New South Wales, the turn-over amounting to £9.000,000. Country lands are the chief item. DICK ARNST SERIOUSLY ASSAULTED Sydney, December 31. Dick Arnst was seriously assaulted by a gang of drunken brawlers with whom he had remonstrated. One struck him on the head with a picket torn from a fence and Arnst was rendered unconscious. He was conveyed to the hospital, where he is recovering. 1 A BURGLAR'S INTIMIDATION. Sydney, December 31. A burglar was discovered in a boarding house at Neutral Bay. He intimidated a lodger with a revolver and escaped.
