MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT.
MIRACULOUS ESCAPES. / ' By Telegraph—Press Association Wellington, Last Night. A motor-ar carrying Mr. J. B.| Warcourt, Miss Hairourt, Ml-. Gordon Harcourt and Colonel Henry Harkness, an English visitor, met with a serious accident on the Bimutaka inline,'Wairarapa side, this morning. The foot brake failed to act as the car was descending the mountain. The driver (H. Man) acted with great presence of mind, and steered the car to (the* back side of the road' preventing it goiW down a steep incline. I * • AH the occupan|s were thrown out. Mr. J. B. Harcouiit washMfy bruised and shaken. Colonel Ha'rknces' received injures to his hea'd and] and the others sustained minor .'injuries. The .party had a rpiralutous escape from death.
