PICTURE PALACE TRAGEDY
By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, December 28. Three children injured during the fire in a picture palace at Chesterfield succumbed. Twenty others were removed to the hospital. The first child ablaze rushed about the room igniting others. One was seriously burned while endeavoring to extinguish the flames. Children ablaze struggled down a narrow stairway into the street, where the crowd extinguished the flames. Received 2fl. 10.10 p.m. London, December 29. The fifth death has occurred in connection with the Chesterfield burning incident. ALIENATING A WIFE'S AFFECTIONS. Received 29, 10.15 p.m. Xew York, December 29. John Breen, husband of the daughter of "Boss" Croker. of Tammany Hall fame, is suing Richard Croker, jun., and Howard Croker, claiming 100,000 dollars for alleged alienation of his wife's affections. JEWEL ROBBERY. Paris, December 28. At Monte Carlo thieves stunned the housemaid of Madame Lionas. an actres*, in her flat, and stole pearls valued at £20,000. Two arrests have been made. JEALOUSY AND VITROL. Bucharest, December 28. In a fit of jealousy Bodnarcscoul. a cavalry officer, threw vitrol over Chinina Ciaeomo, the prima donna, burning her face and neck. The police pursued Bodnareseonl. who killed a policeman and two pedestrians. He then committed suicide.
