An inquiry into the loss of the Clyde • was to be held in Hobart probably at the beginning of this week. Mr. Hatch ': has been advised of the loss of the -ves- - Bel, and was expected to arrive from Invercargill by the next New Zealand boat. The Toroa brought up 61 tons of sea elephant oil, which was to have gone by the Clyde, and this will be forwarded to New Zealand. The Toroa only stayed a few hours, and, after landing Mr. Eitel, secretary of the Mawson expedition, went to Launceston.
